Josh served under four Premiers at Alberta Executive Council with a large portfolio of client Ministries, then transitioned to the private sector where he built new service lines and client-bases for a boutique consulting services firm prior to the establishment of Protaea. Over a 4-year period Josh has built relationships with Alberta Health Services executives, operations and procurement staff, senior government officials (Alberta/Canada) and health system stakeholders as the project lead on multiple health system contract negotiation and government relations Initiatives.

Tania brings over 15 years of experience in strategic policy, regulatory affairs, and consulting. She has led transformative initiatives at the Alberta Energy Regulator, driving regulatory enhancements and stakeholder engagement on complex energy issues in the oil sands, and closure and liability initiatives across the province. At Ernst & Young, she advised on strategy implementation and organizational models to achieve business goals. Tania holds an MBA from the University of Alberta, along with strategic regulatory management education from Harvard and the London School of Economics.

Adrian established his career in government relations through founding and advising large public-benefit organizations. He possesses extensive experience across multiple sectors, including education, policy development, arts and culture, public festivals & sport, property development, and Indigenous relations. Prior to co-founding the Vancouver Mural Festival, he co-taught courses at Simon Fraser University’s City Studio Program, a cohort-based initiative that partnered students with municipal staff and council to design and implement innovative responses to urban challenges. Over the past 20 years, he has developed strong community and institutional relationships through a sustained commitment to civic engagement and social change. Adrian holds an undergrad in Communications, and a MA in Philosophy.

Cara holds a Bachelor of Communication Studies with a minor in Journalism from MacEwan University, where she received multiple academic scholarships recognizing her achievements. Before joining Protaea, she worked with ATCO’s Indigenous Relations team, contributing to corporate communications and program development supporting reconciliation and Indigenous education. A proud Cree woman and member of Cold Lake First Nations, Cara brings cultural awareness and perspective to her work.

Amee has lived and worked across Canada, contributing her expertise to both large multinationals and tech startups. She has led complex public engagement initiatives and developed effective regulatory advocacy strategies. With formal training in facilitation (IAP2) and project management, Amee is skilled at building consensus around politically sensitive issues and supporting executive-level decision-making. She also has a strong research background and excels at crafting compelling, evidence-based narratives. Amee has developed subject matter expertise in highly regulated industries, including iGaming, energy, biotech, healthcare, FMCG, and agrichemicals. Based in Vancouver, she enjoys backcountry adventures, cooking, and staying politically active.
